Quando usar another, other e others?
Essa tríade aí pode dar um nó na cabeça, mas a gente descomplica rapidinho.
Entenda assim:
Another é singular (um outro, uma outra)
Ex. I need another bike, this one is so old.
Preciso de uma outra bike, essa está tão velha.
Preste atenção que:
Não existe THE ANOTHER / THIS - THAT ANOTHER
Nesse caso ainda que seja singular, use: OTHER
Ex. That is a good car, the other is really bad.
Aquele é um bom carro, o outro é muito ruim.
Other é plural (uns outros, umas outras)
Ex. She isn't selfish, but she has other flaws.
Ela não é egoísta, mas tem outros defeitos.
Others é plural e objeto da frase, então deve estar ao final da oração ou ao final da conclusão da ideia.
Ex1. I'm not a big fan of that restaurant. I prefer others.
Eu não sou muito fã desse restaurante. Eu prefiro outros.
Em alguns casos others é sujeito da frase (mas não deve acompanhar nenhum substantivo)
Ex.2. Some people are very focused, others just don't know what they want.
Algumas pessoas são focadas, outras não sabem nem o que querem.

a. other
b.others
c.others
d. another
e.another/others
